Addiction Interventions | What Happens After the Intervention?

Families wanna know what happens after the intervention The intervention is the easy part

I know a lot of times, when the intervention's over, the family says, Wow, that was the hard part I say, No, now we've just begun 'Cause what happens after the intervention is the addict or the alcoholic, beaten, broken, torn down, emotionally distraught, has had enough, at the bottom, they're ready for help What happens in almost every case, and we prep families for this in our training, is two to three weeks after they get the treatment, they feel better physically, they're eating right, they're combing their hair, they're showering, the glow is back They sound wonderful

And the first things they do is they're on the phone with the family The treatment center's horrible The food's horrible I can do this at home That's what we hear all the time

They'll come up with a million excuses And I tell families all the time that I've never had a case where an addict or an alcoholic has made an accusation of the treatment center and it turned out to be true
