The Night Before Polling Day – Intermittent Explosive Disorder

'Twas the night before polling day And all through the land Everyone was thinking {sigh} "Okay, Milliband" Their reluctance to vote For Ed was quite clear But they knew there's good reason This election year It wasn't that he was Dynamic and bold That he wanted to care For the young and the old It's not the economic Plans he put forth His belief in prosperity For south, east, west, and north It's not that he wants To save our NHS And to make our crippling Financial deficit less The reason to vote Labour It seems in this story Is he's not a lying, thieving Bastard shit of a Tory For three hundred years, you know The Conservative pitch Is that they were a party of By, and just for the rich Oh sure, they've tried acting Like friends of the poor But they didn't fool anyone With a brain cell or four Selling off hospitals To friends in a blitz Throwing the vulnerable Off benefits Zero-hours contracts Tuition fees Food banks a lifeline For poor families Energy prices Increasing like mad Household debt growing The Bedroom Tax Homelessness up House building down Lies and false promises Swirling around Bankers with bonuses The rich getting more Companies sending Their profits off-shore They doubled the deficit And dumped it on us Then shoved the whole nation Under the bus So who do we turn to Instead of these fucks? The choices are limited We seem to be stuck Our first-past-the-post system Leaves little doubt As to who is best placed To turf Cameron out And we can't vote for LibDems I'm sure that's no shock For a snifter of power They sucked Tory cock They bent over backwards And forwards, it's sad And abandoned every principle That they ever had I'd like for the Greens To be given a chance As the shiny new partner In the electoral dance Sadly, they haven't yet Gained enough ground But they'll be a contender The next time around UKIP can fuck off They're Tories on steroids Appealing to morons Whose brains are a void Racists and homophobes Throughout the land Duped by a rich man With a pint in his hand So it looks like it's Labour To get Cameron out Not much my first choice But it's better than nowt Tactical voting Just doesn't seem right But it's better than 5 years Of wankers good night
